HTSI has been nothing but wonderful for us. We rent a property and have been in the property going on 3 years now. The pricing is affordable and the communication is amazing. Any time we’ve submitted a maintenance request, it’s been fulfilled in a timely manner and if I can’t be for whatever reason, they communicate with us to let us know. They’re professional, organized and customer service is great. They’re super helpful and accommodating. They’re very communicative when it comes to anything being done with property maintenance and any other one-off things that might come up. They take initiative and are seriously amazing. Having stayed in large apartment complexes to now staying in a rental thru HTSI, cannot recommend HTSI more. My experience with management and the property conditions has been extremely disappointing. Maintenance requests take far too long to be addressed. I waited nearly two months for a working stove, and when I finally purchased one myself out of necessity, management reacted negatively instead of taking responsibility. Many repairs are either delayed or done poorly, and the maintenance crew often appears untrained for the work they are assigned. Pest control and general upkeep of the property are also lacking. The overall condition of the area and the way the property is managed do not reflect professionalism or care for tenants. My experience dealing with the manager, Andy Steinberg, was especially concerning. I found him to be very unprofessional and manipulative, often making promises that were not followed through on just to get a lease signed. Based on my experience, I would not trust his word. Communication with management has been frustrating. When tenants raise legitimate concerns, it feels like they are met with hostility rather than solutions, and there is an atmosphere where speaking up may lead to threats of eviction instead of proper assistance. I also felt judged based on appearance during my interactions with staff, which added to an already uncomfortable renting experience. Overall, this has been a very negative experience marked by poor maintenance, lack of professionalism, and disrespectful treatment.
